Abstract:

<title type="main">Abstract</title>

The article contains a complete description of the preimaginal stages of Lipara lucens Meigen, 1830, illustrated with 38 drawings. Previously published data on larval morphology are verified, and missing data are added. In descriptions of larvae, particular attention is paid to the facial mask, cephaloskeleton, anterior and posterior spiracles as well as locomotory structures. The morphological descriptions of the egg and pupa are supplemented with formerly unknown details. The article forms a basis for a complete description of the life history of this fly.
