Two interstitial species of the Ectinosomatidae (Copepoda) were found in different sandy beaches of Central Chile. So far, Noodtiella hoodensis Mielke, 1979 had previously been recorded from Isla Hood, Galápagos Archipelago, and from Panamá. Lineosoma chilensis is described as a new species.
