Abstract:

Mixtopagurus n. sp. est un nouveau Paguride symétrique d'eau profonde (famille des Pylochelidae) occasionnellement capturé au large d'Otago. Les spécimens quittent plus facilement leurs coquilles que ne le font les Pagurides asymétriques. Les adultes sortis des coquilles sont capables de nager à reculons.
