Abstract:

despite the huge quantity of ancient lamps preserved in museums of the former USSR, this category of finds has been very little studied. The State Historical Museum owns a corpus of more than a thousand lamps, almost all unpublished. The authors announce here the next publication of the first volume of this corpus, dedicated to the collection of lamps from Chersonesos, and explain briefly the history and the importance of these materials.
