Affiliations: Alan C. Kohn (opposite page, upper left) and Ken Dam (opposite page, bottom right) both clerked for Whittaker during the 1957 Term. Celia Barrett (right) was the Justice's secretary. Justice Whit- taker's advice to the author on finishing his clerk-ship was “Get in a pocket, Alan.” By that he meant join a law firm with a good trial practice.
