Affiliations: Raymond M. Weinstein is a Professor of Sociology at the University of South Carolina at Aiken. Until his graduation from college, he lived with his family in Coney Island, just five blocks from Steeplechase Park. He is currently writing a book on community life outdoor amusement in Coney Island from 1920–1965.
