Affiliations: 1: Jack Estes has most recently been teaching American Popular Culture at National Taiwan University in Taipei. He received his M.A. in Popular Culture from BGSU in 1973 and his Ph.D. in American Culture also from BGSU in 1981. 2: Dennis Shaw is an associate professor of sociology and anthropology at Lower Columbia College in Longview, Washington, a city which sits within thirty minutes of Mt. St. Helens. Dr. Shaw's Ph. D. was earned at Washington State Univcrsity.
