Abstract:

Summary. 

An illustration and description is provided for Asclepias barjoniifolia E. Fourn. This species is compared with A. pilgeriana Schltr., a second yellow-flowered species from the Andes of Bolivia and northern Argentina. Revised synonymies are outlined for each species, and five names are lectotypified. Thomas Bridges' travels in Bolivia are summarised briefly.
