Image reconstruction using Electrical Capacitance Tomography (ECT) requires an accurate inverse model, which is usually computationally expensive especially in three dimensions. A Jacobian reduction method is presented, which uses the nodal Jacobian method rather than an element-based method to reconstruct images without detriment to the final solution. The image reconstruction of an experimental test data has been presented using the new sensitivity map.
