Modelling of a Weld Scan eddy current probe
An eddy current probe designed especially for investigating welds, a weld scan probe, has been modelled. The probe uses two identical coils, mounted in a tangentially to the weld surface which can be driven independently or in differential modes. A model has been developed to help understand
the characteristics of this probe.
