Expression And Secretion Of Functional Recombinant 1 Scu-Pa:Av In Insect Cell Using Signal Peptides
Abstract:A fusion protein (scu-PA:AV) was expressed in the baculovirus expression system and secreted from Sf9 cells lead by signal peptides, 2mel and 3egt. The scu-PA:AV displays both the urokinase activity and membrane binding activity of its parental components. Our work indicated that it is possible to be developed as a thrombus-targeting drug.

- Protein & Peptide Letters publishes short papers in all important aspects of protein and peptide research, including structural studies, recombinant expression, function, synthesis, enzymology, immunology, molecular modeling, drug design etc. Manuscripts must have a significant element of novelty, timeliness and urgency that merit rapid publication. Reports of crystallisation, and preliminary structure determinations of biologically important proteins are acceptable. Purely theoretical papers are also acceptable provided they provide new insight into the principles of protein/peptide structure and function.
