Abstract:
The preparation of 2-diphenylphosphinoyl-2'-halogenated biphenyls led to gaining interesting insight into the Suzuki-Miyaura coupling of ortho-halogenated penylboronic acids. Advantages and limitations on the use of halogenated biphenyls for the synthesis of diphosphine ligands are presented.Keywords: Suzuki-Miyaura coupling; biphenyl phosphines; palladium catalysis; ligand synthesis
