Abstract:
A novel aerobic, environmentally friendly oxidation of hydroxylamines to nitrones catalyzed by tetra-n-propylammonium perruthenate (TPAP) is reported. Complete conversions and reasonable to excellent yields were obtained for cyclic hydroxylamines.Keywords: Oxidation; nitrogen containing compounds; environmentally friendly; oxygen; catalysis
