Informatics in Primary Care aims to provide information, help and guidance to all those concerned with information technology and information management in health care, both nationally and internationally. Its primary purpose is the application of information and communications technology to support health care.

The journal publishes high-quality research papers, literature reviews and letters from both researchers and practitioners in the fields of health and clinical informatics. We take a broad view of the frontlines of health and clinical informatics and see this including the impact of public health, e-health, technology-based community and social care informatics initiatives that aim to improve health and wellbeing.
