The genus Grisollea includes three species found in the West Indian Ocean basin. Grisollea myriantha occurs in the Comoro Islands and Madagascar, while Grisollea thomassetii is restricted to the Seychelles. A new species, Grisollea crassifolia , is described from eastern Madagascar.
