This study developed a hitting placement sensing system for table tennis players using the piezoelectric polymer film, which is made of polyvinylidene fluoride. This system is consisted of three subsystems, which are two-dimensional array pressure sensing board, signal scanning circuit,
and signal processing circuit and signal processing software. The students of National Formosa University were treated as research subjects. The result showed that this system can detect the accurate hitting positions of the subjects clearly, display the subjects' placement distribution, determine
the accuracy of subjects (i.e., the average deviation distance to the X axis and Y axis of target's center position) and the standard deviation. Therefore, the quantitative analysis of the serving and hitting accuracy and stability of tested students can be carried out based
on the development of this system in the future.
