Pre-Stressed Modal Analysis on Piezoelectric Quartz Crystal Using Finite Element Method
Abstract:The present study analyzes obtain an accurate description of the pre-stressed modal shapes in an AT-cut quartz crystal plate using a finite element model. The result is combined with an analytical solution of the vibration mode shape for a harmonic of thickness shear and the frequency shift of quartz crystal resonator in a general perturbation procedure. Finite element results with good visibility have been established to obtain the corresponding mode shapes of thickness shear and flexure vibrations simultaneously. The analysis results of the vibration mode shapes of the pre-stressed boundary conditions show vibration direction changes with varying direction of forces. The methods developed herein are useful for studying the force-frequency of quartz crystal plate.
