Abstract:

Fabrication of compensated signal pyrex rods is presented for the measurement of low magnetic moment samples in a VSM. It is shown that proper positioning of a sample with a small magnetic moment, comparable with that of the support rod, can be better achieved when using such a compensated signal rod, and leads to higher accuracy when determining the sample moment.
