Detection and Combination of Acid-Base Solution and UV Light Using a TiO2 Sensor

Abstract:

In this paper, TiO2 thin film was used to design a system including pH and UV sensors on the same ITO glass substrate. TiO2 was prepared using sol gel technology. The UV sensor is adopted in the Ag/TiO2/ITO structure. This sensor has a high response of 0.83 mA W−1 when the device is biased at 0.25 V under 15 W UV illumination. The TiO2/ITO-EGFET was used as the pH sensor because of its excellent pH sensitivity of about 57 mV/pH. This multiple system structure can simultaneously detect both pH and UV light.
