Love Wave Sensor for the Detection of Staphylococcal Enterotoxins B DNA in Liquid Phase
A new method based on the love wave biosensor for the detection of genetic Staphylococcal enterotoxins B (SEB) employing DNA hybridization technique has been established in the paper. Immobilization method which SEB ssDNA coated on the love wave sensor by the biotin-avidin system in liquid phase was studied. The sensitive film of the sensor shows the success of the experiment reused for 3 to 4 times. 0.5 mol/L NaOH as the elution solution was optimized, and the sensitive film can be deposited for 3 weeks without much activation loss. The linear detective range was 35∼200 ng/mL and the detective limit was 10 ng/mL which was similar to the reference reports. Meanwhile, the love wave sensor was employed to real sample tests and the quantitative detection was consistent to PCR results. The love sensor will become a highly sensitive, rapid, selective analytical tool for detection of Staphylococcus aureus, which produces SEB.
