Abstract:

The hysteresis modeling of thin films used for giant magnetoimpedance sensor applications is described by statistical domain behaviour using phenomenological parameters. The model includes both uniaxial induced and shape anisotropy. The simulation results—considering dominating domain wall displacements as well as dominating irreversible magnetization rotation—are compared to measurements on amorphous CoFeB/Cu/CoFeB trilayers of different thickness with good agreement.
