A simple and straightforward method for the detection of imazaquin using a polyaniline-modified carbon paste electrode (CPE-Pani) is presented. The cyclic voltammetry results show that the sensitivity of the CPE-Pani electrodes is strongly dependent on the pH of the electrolyte solution used, where the highest sensitivity was obtained at pH = 2.5. The mechanism by which imazaquin is determined is based on its interaction with polyaniline according to a model described in this work.
