An Energy Aware Multi-hop Cooperative MIMO Scheme in Wireless Sensor Network

Abstract:

In this letter, an energy-efficient multi-hop cooperative multiple input and multiple output (MIMO) scheme is proposed for wireless sensor network (WSN). During the transmissions, a virtual MIMO scheme is deployed through the cooperation of multiple nodes. The communication parameters of the proposed scheme, including the number of cooperative nodes and the number of hops are jointly optimized to be energy efficient. Simulations demonstrate its superior performance in energy saving.
