Abstract:

In this paper, we propose a Space-Shape-Time coding (SSTC) scheme with multiple antennas and multiple orthogonal pulses for enhancing the BER performance of nano-scale IR-UWB communication systems. The basic idea of proposed scheme is to make use of the shape diversity in combination with the spatial and the time diversity. For simplicity, we focus on a two transmit and one receive antenna system. The effectiveness of proposed scheme is evaluated with computer simulations.
