Polarization Modes Control on the Transmittance Characteristics of One Dimensional Photonic Crystal

Abstract:

Based on the transfer matrix method (TMM), we have studied theoretically the interaction of electromagnetic waves with one dimensional photonic crystal (1DPc) in NIR frequency regions. We have calculated the transmission characteristics in this wavelength domain, and we have obtained that the transmission values had been strongly affected by the angle of incidence and the state of polarizations. The effect of Brewster's angle had been considered, which leads to some modifications in the transmission response.
