The Analysis of Pavement Quality Indicator Used in Asphalt Surface Detection

Abstract:

In order to meeting the requirements compaction degree of design in asphalt pavement construction process, it takes the measure of dynamic control. It uses Non-nuclear density spectrometer (PQI) to do density testing and calculates the degree of compaction. Compared it with the result from drilling core sample with water weight method test, the control accuracy and measuring error of PQI in the asphalt surface layer detection are summarized. PQI must be demarcated in different test positions and gradation types, combined with the water weight method to determine the core sample value of density reasonable calibration, so as to keep the measuring error of compaction degree under 2%. Meanwhile, the conversion relationship between PQI and water weight method to test compaction degree is studied, which will provide the basis for the effective application of PQI to test compaction degree in various ranks asphalt surface in our country. The analysis of PQI applied in engineering entity shows that its application prospect is good.
