A Study on Inversion of Ionograms Parameters

Abstract:

The algorithm of partial derivative iteration is often used to inverse the parameters of Ionograms. But the accuracy of this inversion results are depended on the selection of initial values. So a criterion for the selection of the initial value is proposed to solve this problem. Meanwhile, using this criterion, and the expressions of ionograms virtual high, based on a reasonable approximation, a new inversion algorithm on the ionograms' parameters is presented. This method may calculate the ionogram's parameters with analytical formula, which makes the calculation greatly reduced compared with the partial derivative iteration method. It will better meet engineering needs in real time.
