Reliability Analysis for High-Speed Train Control System by Means of Stochastic Automata
When analyzing the reliability of high-speed train control system, the prevalent architecture-based approaches treat the reliability of sub-system as unchanged property in different using contexts. This assumption ignores the fact that different functions of sub-system may be activated in different contexts, thus different reliabilities will be shown by sub-system. In this paper, we introduce a new reliability analysis model based on stochastic automata for high-speed train control system to overcome this challenge. In our model, sub-systems are modeled as states, and the functions provided by sub-systems are modeled as the events that can be activated in corresponding states. The reliability and probability properties of functions are incorporated into the model as characteristics of state transitions. Meanwhile, a reliability analysis algorithm and a sensitivity analysis algorithm based on this model are proposed for high-speed train control system. These algorithms can assist the designer in selecting suitable sub-system to construct reliable high-speed train control system at the design stage, as well as to provide a reliability estimate after the system is developed.
