Abstract:

When highway was widening on soft soil ground, the disease such as uneven settlement and road surface crack will appear on the new and old embankment fringe. So use the finite element software (ABAQUS) analysis the influence of old embankment and foundation on unilateral widening because of additional load of new embankment. The results of analysis show that widening makes embankment settlement from "deflection basin" became a tilt distribution from left to right; Compared with widening before, the connect of old and new embankment appeared differential Settlement, and it increased when width is become larger, and also maximum occurred in new and old embankment; The investigation on the horizontal displacement under new embankment found that foundation soil moved from side to side, which makes the migration settlement of soil computer-network become larger, and various widening width embankment surface also horizontal displacement maximum occurred in the connect of new and old embankment; In addition, the results of super pore water pressure show that with the increase of embankment construction and increase of the widening, excess pore water pressure increases, the overload of soil in a stable of the most unfavorable condition when embankment construction on the fourth floor; Finally, analyzed the effect of overload, although overload preloading increased surface center eventually subsidence but can effectively reduce different subsidence of embankment surface, and it is advantage of the road.
