Abstract:
We present the case of a 58-year-old diabetic who developed corpora cavernositis following drainage of a perianal abscess. To our knowledge this is the first such case caused by Actinomycetes, which spread from the perianal abscess by direct extension through Buck's fascia, which was probably breached during drainage of the abscess. Keywords: Actinomycetis; corpora cavernositis; perianal abscess
