Frames and the Projection Method

Abstract:

We give an equivalent characterization of Hilbert space frames and derive a useful perturbation result. Furthermore we discuss a new method for approximation of the frame coefficients using finite subsets of the frame. We show that we obtain the exact frame coefficients in the natural limit if and only if a concrete condition is satisfied.Copyright 1993, 1999 Academic Press
