Abstract:

A new monotypic ascomycete genus,Dictyocyclus gen. nov. withD. hydrangeae sp. nov. as its type, is described and illustrated. It is placed in the family Parmulariaceae and it is the second genus in that family with dictyoseptate ascospores. It is compared withAldonatathe only other member of the family with similar ascospores.Copyright 1998 The Linnean Society of London
