Abstract:

The Image Directory is an online catalogue of information about art images unifying data from many sources into an easily searchable format. It breaks new ground in its aim to provide record-level access to the vast body of scholarly, but non-standardised, data on images that resides in the libraries, galleries and museums of the world.
