Steering clear of libel
Abstract:Libel claims are a less frequent occurrence for learned publishers than for many other kinds of publisher but whenever they do arise, they are an expensive nuisance. This article explains the nasty consequences of libel claims and the circumstances that give rise to them. It also offers some hints to publishers on how best to avoid libel claims.
