In present study the authors examined the light trapping success of European Corn Borer (Ostrinia nubilalis Hübner)adults in connection with the ultraviolet radiation of the Sun.According to their data the number of moths caught by the traps decreased on those nights when on the preceding day the ultra- violet radiation was lower than the monthly average;at the same time the catch increased when during the day before the radiation has exceeded the monthly average. If the low or high UV radiation prevails for more than one day,its influence on the trapping success becomes more pronounced.
