Future of Vertical Lift Aircraft
The position of vertical lift aircraft in the transportation field is explored. Charts are presented to establish the relative performance Potential vs forward speed of the categories of vertical lift aircraft. Problems associated with low speed landing and take‐off and their
effect on design are discussed. The probable future of the vertical lift aircraft relative to known missions is projected.
