American Economic Association
The American Economic Association was organized in 1885 at Saratoga, NY. Approximately 22,000 economists are members and 5,500 institutions subscribe to the AEA journals. Over 50% of the membership is associated with academic institutions, 35% with business and industry, and the remainder largely with federal, state, and local government agencies.
The AEA publishes the American Economic Review, the Journal of Economic Literature, American Economic Journal: Applied Economics, American Economic Journal: Economic Policy, American Economic Journal: Macroeconomics, American Economic Journal: Microeconomics and the Journal of Economic Perspectives. AEA members receive all seven journals as part of their membership and are entitled to online access at www.aeaweb.org/aea_journals.php. Institutional subscribers may obtain campus-wide access to issues of all seven journals published from 2002 forward for as long as their subscription is valid. Please see www.aeaweb.org/subscribe.html for institutional site license information. Others who are not AEA members or subscribers are charged on a pay-per-view basis.
