Abstract:

Hold the chicken soup! There are new and powerful anti-viral agents being developed for therapeutic use that may finally make grandmother's remedies seem out-of-date. Armed with more knowledge about the biology of viral parasites, and with better information about the etiology of viral disease, we may finally be ready for a massive attack against our little adversaries. As usual, the emergence ot new treatment options portends oppurtunity for new diagnostic methods and analytes. What's going on? How and where will diagnostic value emerge?
