Abstract:

Dopamine receptor agonists are often used in place of levodopa for the first-line treatment of Parkinson's disease (PD). Although these agents are not associated with motor complications, they do have the potential to worsen nonmotor symptoms of PD, which can be addressed by a number of pharmacological and nonpharmacological interventions.
