Abstract:

Many patients with Parkinson's disease (PD) use complementary therapies to treat the symptoms of their disease; however, few patients discuss the use of these therapies with a healthcare provider. As some pharmacological and dietary complementary therapies may influence the motor symptoms of PD and/or the effectiveness of dopaminergic therapy, it is important that clinicians are aware of the possible effects of these therapies.
