Abstract:
A leading physical activity and sport professional for 70 years, Ziegler laments the ruination of competitive sport in the 20th century due to rampant commercialism. He suggests an number of changes to address the lack of good physical activity and health educators, the lack of quality intramural and extramural sports and fitness programs, and the lack of professional preparation programs for coaches.
