The Performer and Coach Earn Rewards (PACER) system is a new way to incorporate cooperative learning in the gymnasium. It consists of six components that help teachers to introduce new skills or refine and improve learned skills: teams, teacher workshop, practice time with task cards, peer assessment, teacher assessment, and team rewards. The purpose of this article is to introduce PACER as an alternative to the traditional, whole-group methods of teaching physical education and to provide examples of how it can be implemented in a basketball unit and then modified to fit the needs of individuals with visual impairments.", pages = "1-58", url = "http://www.ingentaconnect.com/content/aahperd/joperd/2007/00000078/00000007/art00013" }
