XM Reinvents Radio's Future

In contrast to the depleted music playlists of commercial FM radio, XM satellite radio is broadcasting 67 channels of exceptionally high‐quality programming. Through interviews with music programmers at XM radio and the sampling of XM's pop and jazz channels, I will explore the promise of this new medium. This study will also include a selected history of radio and discuss XM's place in it.
