Coming soon: IngentaConnect Connect goes mobile

In the next few months we will be launching an iPhone and iPad App for IngentaConnect. To coincide with this we will also be developing a Mobile Web version of the platform, which will be device agnostic. IngentaConnect’s Mobile functions will include search, bookmarking via My IngentaConnect or social bookmarking through 14 of the largest and most popular social bookmarking sites, as well as managing subject based alerting via RSS.

As well as IngentaConnect, Publishing Technology also builds customized multi-content websites for publishers. pub2web offers publishers their own website with preferred URL and branding, and provides online publishing essentials such as content conversion, discovery, authentication, e-commerce and customer support. The ICE Virtual Library is just one of Publishing Technology's pub2web sites, built and supported for the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE) and Thomas Telford Ltd. It is the most comprehensive online civil engineering resource in the world, providing access to their books and journals - and it's powered by us.

Breathing Space, the first semantic web collaboration between scholarly societies, is built on our pub2web platform. This pilot project explores the value to researchers of compiling and mining a critical mass of data within a discipline. The project collates content from the European Respiratory Society and the American Thoracic Society, who together account for 30% of citations within the field of respiratory medicine. The pilot will demonstrate that bringing all articles together reveals important connections between articles, author and concepts. Let us know your views!.
